Current research assistant at MIT Media Laboratory.

I created a micro laser projector along with my advisor Michael Bove Jr. Its features are: low power consumption, small, and affordable. I was born in Mexico City in April 27, 1975. Almost my whole life has been in Cuernavaca, where I arrived at age of 5. My education basically has been in both English and Spanish. My elementary school and junior high was at Instituto Suizo Americano, where I learned most of my English skills. After ISA, I entered at Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey: Campus Morelos (now Campus Cuernavaca) where I studied my high school and my career. My major is in Electrical and Communications Engineering. I graduated with honors and received some awards during my career. Before coming to MIT Media Laboratory I spent one year in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, working as a Test Engineer at Scientific Atlanta. I learned a lot of skills where at the university don't learn. I thank my dad Dr. Fernando Sierra E.B. and mom Reyna Guadalupe Hernandez de Sierra for the whole effort, confidence and support that they have on me. I owe them what now I am. I know it has been hard for both of us these past two years, but we'll make it through soon.
