Work on MagicEight

We are part of the Entertainment and Information Group of the MIT Media Laboratory, and we're looking for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors interested in working with us on the MagicEight project.

We need UROPs to develop software and hardware libraries for performing image analysis, processing, and synthesis, as well as supporting P1394 Firewire, X, and custom high speed interconnects. The software libraries will be written in C, and compiled for OSF Unix, HPUX, and Linux, as well as custom hardware being designed at the Media Lab. Hardware libraries will generally be developed in VHDL for execution on a 100K gate FPGA included in the custom hardware.

We are have openings for students working solely with software, solely with hardware, or working with both. Send some information about your past work, as well as several times you might be available for interviewing in the following week, to:

Freshpeople, Sophomores, and Juniors only, please.
