Hurlbert Regularization

These images are the result of filtering with a Hurlbert regularization filter, then biasing to gray. A relaxation was then applied, taking into account edges in luminance to constrain the color diffusion within regions belonging to a single surface.

Two dimensional histograms of the corrected images are available: chromaticity and Red vs. Blue

The windowing function applied to this filter was tailored to preserve the DC response of the filter (i.e. zero.) A Blackman window was used in the previous four or five regularization filters, which coupled with the shape of this filter was producing a quite noticeable DC response...
