Challenge # 7

Brainstorming ...

Get together in groups of four to brainstorm. During this session you should produce concept sketches of two projects/simulations to present in a pinup.

You should think about the following questions ...

• What will your simulation show?
• What is your goal?
• What is the scope of the model?
• Is it an "Idea", "System" or "Real World" model
• Is it reasonable to do this in a week
• What kinds of things will it enable you to explore?
• What kind of experiments will it enable you to run?
• How will you implement it in StarLogo?

The concept sketches for the pinup will be drawn by hand (oh no!) on large Post-It (tm) notes which will be put up on the wall for all to share.

They should have an "idea statement" at the top of the page that communicates your aims to everyone.

To convey your ideas you might: sketch out the implementation... or list the main conceptual parts or steps involved... or construct a flow chart... or draw a picture... or describe the rules of your simulation...

For inspiration you might want to take a look at some of the existing models, or think about the work you've seen in this week's pinups.
