Go Go Gadget Squirrel!

Has anyone seen this yet? Supposedly there's new Bluetooth technology coming out to prevent calls to your cellphone from interrupting something important, unless the call is itself important. A robotic squirrel answers the call and engages the caller in limited conversation to determine the nature of the call.

If this is real, I want one!

It is sad that our society has made it possible to buy something like that. (But who would we be to criticize )

Sad or not, I find the whole concept incredibly amusing. And the implications for the robotics field are intreguing as well.

I've heard tell that some important people have an upgraded version of this called a "secretary" or an "agent".

i definitely think a range of cellular creatures would be great, even just for the initial novelty.

Interesting, but why would they make it a squirrel, of all things?

I can't quite explain it, but for some reasons Squirrels rock.

I was hoping for something sleek and metallic with incredibly large, but I guess you can't have everything.

What an adorable idea though, I have a tendancy of just checking who's calling and ignoring the call if it seems appropriate. They can always leave a message =).

But it's a wonderful idea, how incredibly handy and useless at the same time. I love knickknacks like that.

Yeah, a secretary takes incoming cell phone calls directed at his/her employer.
