About Me:

I'm Ricardo Garcia. I graduated with a M.S. in Media Arts and Sciences from the (MIT), Media Lab in 2001. My research group was the former Machine Listening Group, headed by Professor Barry Vercoe.

I'm the Founder and CTO of Base 10 Labs, LLC, which focuses on solving problems related to signal analysis and processing, and developing products using some of my past research.

Research Interests: Sound Synthesis, Algorithmic representation of DSP routines, DSP for sound modeling, Psychoacoustics, Sound and music enconding/decoding, Audio Watermarking and data hiding, Cognitive models for music and sound, Evolutionary computation

Long time ago I was the keyboard player of Señal Nocturna, a techno band in my home country: Colombia. Someday I´ll publish songs from our CDs.
