Final Project Topic:

Simulating 16th century style (fourth maybe fifth species) counterpoint given a cantus firmus. The implementation of the many restrictive rules can still result in a number solutions. The tricky part, I would suspect, is choosing the most musical-sounding solution from all the "legal" ones.
