Shaquille was built by an eleven year old boy who considers the basketball player as his "idol". The kid brought to the workshop his favorite books written by the sport figure. He adapted some of the stories, recorded them with his own voice and indexed them with values such as "Good things can happen if you wait", "If you have a plan then things are better than they seem" and so on. He also created the conversational structure that determines what sorts of questions Shaq asks to the user and what the user is expected to respond.
