Peano is a system of physical pixels that connect together in a sculptural display of colored light. Each Peano cube is programmable to animate and respond to touch. Peano can display solid or changing colors that are specified by the user through software, or with a physical tool such as the Digital Palette.

Nearly every aspect of these physical pixels were custom-designed, including the connectors (K. Heaton and A. Jacobs), the firmware (Steve Gray) and the interface software (Paul Pham).
