The applet below is a chat bot experiment from 2007 exploring automatically learning dialogue from 5,000 game logs of two-player sessions of The Restaurant Game. For more information see this blog post.

The chat bot on this page is currently only trained on data from the beginning of the game, when the customer and waitress are standing at the podium. (The system only loads data from one context at a time). The dialogue interaction ends at the first physical action (usually the customer sitting down). The data is uncensored -- play at your own risk!

You can click "Show Context" and select a chat line from the left pane to see the human-human game that the line was drawn from in the right pane.
