Cheap Wine Society
Along with Shahar Ronen, I organize the Cheap Wine Society at the Media Lab, where we taste wine for the sake of science. Some of our past events have included:
- Wine and music pairing, where we discovered $10 wines goes much better with hiphop than classical music.
- A colorful wine tasting where food coloring was added to white wines to play with how visual perception affects flavor.
- A blind(folded) tasting that involves guessing which wine is more expensive.
- Measuring skin conductance while drinking.
In 2014, I started the second iteration of Cheap Wine Society.
- Workshop #1: The Importance of Servingware
- Workshop #2: The Importance of Serving Temperature
- Workshop #3: Music and Wine
