Dining in this fine restaurant which is high up on top of Westin Stamford
is surely a great sensation. 

Compass Rose offers the best view of Singapore's skyline.
The best time to be there is about 6:45pm in the evening where the view
of Singapore sunset is just simply marvellous. One just can't resist 
looking out of the wide windows just before the sun disappears below
the horizon.


After this marvellous view, slowly and surely, you will see the colourful
lights from the buildings, roads, boats, ships, aeroplanes and even some
islands in neighbouring Indonesia.


Yes, now we shall talk about some of the food in Compass Rose.


I recommend the Creamy Oyster Soup as a start. They also have this
nice Lobster Bisque soup. You can have them with the four types of bread
provided : rye, walnut, sesame and plain. The butter provided and
the bread are "free-flow". If you finish the whole serving,
the waiters/waitresses will bring you a fresh supply again.
Of course, don't stuff yourself with bread as there are more
goodies to come.


For the Entree, the Pan Fried Goose Liver is a must ! Served with a toast,
it tastes absolutely great with the sauce provided. Soft and tender, you
wish you'll be served more.


Try their special Maine Lobster. You have a choice of it steamed,
grilled or stir-fried in pepper. The course comes with fried garlic sauce
and a plate of steamed mixed vegetables. The lobster shell is pre-cut
and you don't have to have a night-mare eating it.

From the menu, their dessert is rather limited. Almost all of
them contain alcohol. But you can ask for things like
ice-cream : chocolate, vanilla or strawberry or mixed fruit sample.
