i am deva seetharam. this is my personal website.

i used to be a masters student and a research assistant in the (prematurely disbanded) Myriad Nets group at the MIT Media Laboratory.

while at the lab, i researched the issues of programming and networking systems that are composed of extremely large number of embedded computing devices. A few examples of such systems are large-scale embedded building networks and sensor networks. for my masters thesis, i developed a language for programming these systems.

i graduated in sep. 2002. since then i have worked in wireless sensor networks, active rfid, pervasive media and hd radio.

i also co-founded the open cell phone project called tuxphone. you can know more about the project from the talk i gave at the O'Reilly Etel-2006 (Emerging Telephony Conference).

i am working with a cool startup: RadioSherpa. RadioSherpa is a realtime visual program guide for the new HD Radios. check them out!
